Component Testing
Basis Weight Testing: TIS 0308-01 Soak Method is the procedure used to analyze a
specimen of corrugated fiberboard to determine the basis weights and calipers
of the combined board and its components. Cobb Testing: ISO 535:1991(E)
specifies a method of determining the water absorptiveness of corrugated
fiberboard under standard conditions. Mullen Burst Test: T810 om-98 is the procedure used to measure the bursting
strength of singlewall and doublewall corrugated and solid fiberboard. T 839 pm-95: It is the procedure used to determine the edgewise
compressive strength, parallel to the flutes, of a short column of singlewall
or doublewall fiberboard. Pin Adhesion Testing: T 821 om-96 is used to measure the force required to
separate corrugated board between the flute tips of corrugated medium and its
linerboard facings.
